Credit unions are a great option for borrowers who will not qualify for a C.O. refi with a traditional lender due to LTV being too high. I always suggest to my borrowers to have a savings account, CC, and an auto loan with a reputable local C.U. They are a great backup option.

Manufactured homes are a great value and can be an excellent opportunity for first-time homebuyers. As a Mortgage Advisor/Loan Officer who has originated my fair share of manufactured homes, borrowers need to have an LO who knows how these transactions work. There is a lot more involved with a manufactured loan than most realize.

As an experienced mortgage advisor/loan officer, being prepared and knowing what lenders want to see from a borrower, and then applying that information to your personal financial snapshot, is by far the most effective way to win in the real estate and mortgage game. a solid credit profile is the foundation of a home-buying success story.

Hector, that is a great question. I think L.O. to agent referral networks are important and will survive this ruling. The issue I see is how the real estate agencies themselves restructure to stay highly profitable. My opinion is real estate agents are a necessary part of the home-buying process. I think commissions may be drastically reduced for agents.
