Biography | My name is Tim Cho. I am a Health and Fitness professional for the past 12 years. My passion from health and fitness derived from simply “results”. Weather its from losing 5lbs. or from helping a client overcome an injury. One of the phrases I love to use is “motivation is temporary but discipline last forever”. Truly no one can be motivated every day for 365 days a year. Yet if I can have that person realize that if they know that he/she has poor health then he/she would become bought into following a simple routine. I specialize in Functional strength training, Boxing, Kickboxing, Self Defense, Calisthenics; body weight training to skill conceptual training, and nutrition advice. Most individuals today follow a routine because it was said to be the “best” workout in todays industry. I disagree with this mindset. A workout suites an individual based off what their needs are. For instance, would you have a 65 year old individual doing CrossFit 3 days a week? Obviously this is all dependent on the individual but, the question is why? Most would say CrossFit is a very functional workout. But an older individual are likely to have weak joints; generally speaking. Therefore my goal in my clients journey is to get what they truly need. If its better mobility and movement then we will focus on functional movements. I started my mixed martial arts journey in 2012. I wrestled since I was 11 years old. So I had a great base line when it came to Mixed martial arts. Throughout my mixed martial arts career I have worked at many different corporate facilities to gain experiences. While I was trying to gain experience I finished my degree with an associates in applied science in health and fitness management. In doing so I have been certified through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Ass.). HMS (Human Movement Specialist-Brookbush institute) Precision Nutrition CrossFit Level 1 MFT (Master Fitness Trainer- US Army). Throughout my years of working in the fitness industry I’ve gained so much knowledge to help me become the great coach I am today. |
