I am diligently doing my due diligence on adopting either a Doberman Pinscher or a German Shepherd puppy or young adult once I close on my first home. Can anyone tell me the character between Doberman Pinschers and German Shepherds? My wife and I never had a large dog. We have young children and small dogs and cats. Three one year old cats.

Chase gets along with everyone including the cats. However, Chase looks like a mean German Shepherd guard dog but acts like a teacup lap dog and cat. That’s because you are who you hang with. I may need to get him a brother or sister German Shepherd dog so he can act his age.
