My question is what makes someone infatuated with becoming a police officer? Is it the power cops have? Is it the qualified immunity that police officers have? Is it because the wanna be cop got picked on in high school and now, since he is an adult, wants to get revenge by having a badge and a gun? Is it to impress women and get laid because many women love men in blue? Is it the power they have to control women and cuff them to get intimate with them? Do they understand that police officers only have qualified immunity and arrest power when hired by a law enforcement agency? Many educated people, like doctors and lawyers, give up their high-paying salaries to become a cop for a fraction of what they can make. Is there a study on why people have dreamed of being a law enforcement officer? What makes them want to become a cop?
