California has 30 million passengers which costs $8 billion dollars to maintain the roads Californians drive. With so many Californians driving electric cars the gas tax money in California is drying up. California is now planning on taxing motorists 30 cents per mile to cover the shortage of the gas tax.

I just cannot imagine how people can live in California. Everything about California is bad with the exception of the weather. Home prices are double than the median average price of homes in the national home median home prices, state taxes is among the highest in the nation, gas prices is almost double the national average, cost of living is unbelievable and way above the national average, and politicians like Gavin Newsom are so liberal they cannot think logically. Now California wants to impose a 30 cent per mile transportation tax? So if my place of work is 60 miles one way, I would have to pay 30 cents per mile on 120 miles for the day? $36 dollars just to work and back.

With many employers turning workers to remote wage earners, you will be seeing more and more people Fleeing the state of California to lower tax states with lower housing prices and affordable cost of living. California is in major trouble. Again, it’s incompetent politicians like Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and the Democrats that are in power.

California housing prices are lower this year compared the same time last year. The list time on the market for a home to sell is two weeks in California. 37% of the houses that sold in California in May 2024 were sold over $1.0 million dollars.
