Pond
Bruno, MissyMu, and Gunner going to feed fish in pond. Feeding fish time. The pond did not have any fish after the big freeze in 2019 after the pond did not thaw until late May. All the fish we had died. I bought about 500 feeder Gold fish and the blue Gills reproduced from the birds dropping Blue Gill eggs. The blue Gills multipled thousands of them. Look at when we feed fish flakes. The pond looks like its hot water boiling. You can not see too many feeder goldfish but the ones you do have tripled in size. The little baby blue Gills know when it’s feeding time. Fish are smart creatures. When the pond was stocked we had a a large big mouth bass named Gilligan. Gilligan let us pet him and hand feed him. The coolest fish 🐟 who knew feeding time. Was like a dog. Liked to be hand fed. Ate hot dogs, bread, by hand. Food Gilligan didn’t like, he spit out. Gilligan died during the artic freeze when the pond did not melt until May that one year. We have lots of wildlife in this half acre pond. Bull frogs, ducks, cranes, and snapper turtles. Those snappers can be dangerous. I used to go swimming 🏊♀️ in the pond until I stepped on a snapper turtles 🐢. Then I stopped. Always careful dogs don’t get too close to pond due to snapper turtles. Sometimes I invite hillbillies down the street to catch snapper turtles for Thanksgiving and the love it. The hillbillies love snappers. Its a delicacy for them. I watched Bizzare Foods with that bald heavy set guy that eats everything from cockaroches to squirrels and saw him skin a snapper turtles 🐢 and eat it like a steak. Some people eat racoons, skunks, deers, wild turkeys, goats, cranes, parrots, and pigeons too. Not for me. No zoo animals. Cannot eat live animals I see. Only packaged frozen foods from the grocery stores only.
