I am a first time gun owner. What rypes of gun would you recommend ? Revolver? Semiautomatic? Rifles? Shotguns?

Great question. I own several hand guns and several rifles and shotguns. As a first-time-time i highly recommend getting a 5 shot revolver. Wait about a year and you can purchase a semiautomatic gun. I own two 5 shot revolvers and three semiautomatic guns. Attached are some of my guns. And a picture of my semiautomatic.
